 Summary

We invite everyone to submit articles of interest to the community of Microsoft developers.

To make submission as easy as possible we provide WebWriter, a free software application. You can create, preview and submit your articles directly from your desktop. You can include images, downloads and syntax highlighting.

 Guidelines

  1. Please include at least some text description along with code samples.
  2. Please use the WebWriter program to create, submit and maintain your article.
  3. Do not use profanity or bad language.
  4. Be as clear as possible in your descriptions and use code, images and downloads to support your points.
  5. Please, write your article with a spirit of helpfulness. If you wish to point out the flaws of certain individuals or technologies, do so politely and back up your point with good arguments.
  6. Tell your story. We all love a story better than a list of facts. If you faced a unique challenge surrounding the problem you're writing about, share it with us. What were the problems, the failed approaches and the ultimate solution.
  7. Use questions to create interest. In fact, make your title a question or state the problem in the opening section.
  8. Please always use an Overview section as the first section of your article. Include at least one sentence (possibly a question) to tell use what your article is about.
