It has been basically flat ever since. But stock price is only a reflection of the collective sentiment of investors. Microsoft has remained a smart, savvy, profitable company and the leader in the technology world. There's no doubt Google has carved out a chunk for itself, but Microsoft is still the momentum driver as evidenced by record profits in the 4th quarter of 2006 and another record projected for 1st quarter 2007.  Microsoft stock has been flat for several years, but don't count them out
